Overview

Deoriatal Chopta Tungnath Chandrashila Trek is one of the most popular treks in the Garhwal Himalayas. The journey to Chandrashila Deoriatal with JustWravel begins with an exciting drive from Delhi to Chopta. This route typically includes a stop in Rishikesh, the yoga capital of India renowned for its spiritual significance and adventure activities. As travelers navigate through this scenic path, they will be treated to mind blessing landscapes, with the Ganges River flowing alongside them. This will make you feel like Ganga is being your localk guide and showing your way up. Rishikesh serves as an ideal stopover for refreshments and a chance to soak in the town's lively atmosphere, marked by yoga studios, cafes, and the iconic ghats. After a day of travel, the group will finally arrive in Chopta, often referred to as the "Mini Switzerland of India." Here, we can settle into our camps and unwind, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the mountains.

The second day is dedicated to leisure and relaxation in Chopta. This allows travelers to acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the surroundings of Chopta. You can simply walk around or appreciate the clamness of little things. Known for its lush green meadows and panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, Chopta provides an ideal spot for reconnecting with yourself. Visitors can explore the nearby areas, take short walks, or simply bask in the breathtaking views of the mountains. This leisure day serves as a perfect opportunity for travelers to prepare for the upcoming trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila, ensuring they are refreshed and ready for the adventure ahead.

Here comes our day that we were awaiting! On the third day, the itinerary focuses on an thrilling trek to Tungnath and Chandrashila. The trek covers a distance of about 4 kilometers one way and typically takes around 8 hours to complete. The journey begins from Chopta, ascending towards Tungnath, which is the highest of the Panch Kedars and holds significant religious importance. Upon reaching Tungnath, trekkers can visit the ancient temple, known for its stunning architecture and spiritual ambiance. The trek continues for another 1.5 kilometers to the Chandrashila peak, situated at an elevation of over 12,110 feet. This segment is more challenging but rewards hikers with breathtaking views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Nanda Devi and Trishul. After spending time at the summit, trekkers will descend back to Chopta for an overnight stay, reflecting on the day's accomplishments amid the beauty of the mountains.

On the final day, travelers will embark on a visit to DeoriaTal, a stunning lake located about 2 kilometers from Sari Village. This trek offers picturesque views and an opportunity to appreciate the serene environment surrounding the lake, which is known for its crystal-clear waters and reflections of the majestic peaks. After exploring Deoria Tal, travelers will begin their journey back to Delhi. The return trip typically involves a drive of approximately 205 kilometers, taking around 5-6 hours, concluding the adventure with cherished memories of the majestic landscapes and experiences shared throughout the trip. This itinerary provides a well-rounded experience of the natural beauty and cultural significance of the Chopta region, combining leisure, trekking, and exploration for an unforgettable adventure in the Himalayas.

Poncho:

A poncho is an evolved form of a raincoat that provides coverage to your body as well as your bag and ensures total water protection from rain.

Travelled with JW for the first time, Jaisalmer trip (23-26 Dec) and it turned out to be an enthralling experience! Big shoutout to Lakshay and Divya for being so wonderful. Would love to be a part of future trips with JW. Suggestions: 1. Tent conditions can be improved 2. Longewala can be skipped and instead Kuldhara fort can be added. 3. Bus stops can be decided in advance.

I recently went to Winter Spiti Valley trip with JustWravel which ended up being more as a trip with best friends. JustWravel had everything sorted for us be it transportation, safety, constant checkups, personalised care , accommodation, food and everything was super comfortable and amazing. Then it comes to the best part of this trip our trip captains - Abhishek and Ramneek He treated us like their own brother from day one and made sure all of us are having the time of our lives. They had constant checkups to ensure all of us are doing great physically. They had good knowledge about the place and shared the same with us as well. I would surely plan my next trip with JustWravel. I would like to mention an instance: I forgot my bag in the Volvo bus and there was nothing important in that bag but our captains still went out of their way to ensure that I got my bag safely.

Just got back 😁, from a week-long 20-26th January, all-girls tour package of Manali-Kasol-Jibhi, headed by Geetanjali and Divya, as travel coordinators the trip was truly enjoyable and very memorable, especially for me as the youngest girl, at 56years I,in a group of 16 girls (20 year olds)....the team leader , geetanjali and second in command,Divya are very capable, sporty and encouraging type...they make an excellent combination and have good leadership quality..,will go ,great places in the near future....they are capable of tackling unforseen circumstances in a spirited manner,...also ,not to be forgotten , to complement ,the driving skills of Mr.Mani bhaiya, who navigated the difficult terrain and unpredictable weather conditions, very well.
