Overview

Himachal Pradesh is blessed with raw natural beauty and also places that are perfect for a family getaway. It has many mountain peaks, lush green forests which have many hiking and trekking trails for you to indulge in and be closer to nature.

One of Himachal Pradesh’s gems is Spiti Valley ,which is one of the most beautiful valleys in India and the world.  The place is filled with vast barren landscapes, surreal high altitude lakes, snow covered mountain peaks, beautiful Buddhist monasteries and an insight into a different life and culture of Spitian people.

Our 7 nights 8 days Dazzling Spiti Valley Tour aims to showcase the real beauty of Spiti so that you can take in every essence of the place.

We start from the queen of hill cities, Shimla. Shimla is also the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. Shimla formerly acted as the summer capital of British India. The colonial architecture, beautiful mountains and dense forests are some of the highlights of Shimla which makes it for a top tourist destination.

The last inhabited village on the Indo-Tibetan border is Chitkul, around 569 kilometers from Delhi and 24 kilometers from Sangla and is famous for its sunsets, potatoes, apples and the incredible hospitality of the locals.

While going to Kalpa, you will catch a glimpse of Kinner Kailash peak, standing tall and mighty at 7500+fts. While in Kalpa, explore Kalpa Monastery, Roghi suicide point and Reckong Peo to shop at the local markets.

We head off to Kaza, which is the gateway to Hikkim which houses the highest Post Office in the world, and you may send a letter to a dear one from there if you like. You should also stop at the Key monastery which is at 12 KM from Kaza. Along with its historical importance, the Tibetan monastery provides a panoramic view. At
Langza, get ready to be awed at the massive Golden Buddha statue which overlooks Langza. Komic, is one of the highest motorable villages in the world, which makes it one of a kind location.

Other notable locations include Tabo, which houses a 1000 years old monastery, declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Gue Village brings back the memories of the Hollywood movie “The Mummy” as Gue has a real life remains of a mummy which dates back to 500 years.

Nako is a small village near the border of India and Tibet. The place is famous for its lake and 1000 years old Monastery. You can experience calm and serene surroundings at this place.

Chandratal lake is one of the most beautiful high altitude saline lakes in the world at an altitude of 4300mts. The lake is surrounded by lofty mountain peaks and the lake’s strikingly clear greenish blue water is sure to take your heart away.

Things To Pack

You must pick a good quality backpack with a comfortable fit and straps that won’t give you shoulder pain. You can check out your nearest Decathlon store for a good trekking backpack.

When you head towards the summit, you are required to carry only a few necessary items and for that, you need a day backpack as you will leave your bigger one on the campsite.

Hiking-Shoes.png

Hiking Shoes :

Durable footwear designed for rugged terrains.

Floaters.png

Floaters or Sandals:

Although the entire trek requires a good quality shoe, you still need to let your feet breathe to avoid chafing and blisters. When you are at the camp, a good pair of sandals and floaters will help you to move freely.

Tees.png

Tees / Tshirts:

You must keep at least three pairs of quick dry tees so that you can wash them in between stops for proper hygiene.

Poncho.png

Poncho:

A poncho is an evolved form of a raincoat that provides coverage to your body as well as your bag and ensures total water protection from rain.

Towel.png

Quick Dry Towel:

A quick dry towel will help in maintaining proper hygiene. It must dry quickly because the wet fabric will only increase the chance of bacterial growth.

Sun Cap / Hat:

A lightweight sun cap with side flaps is perfect to keep your head cool and avoid sunburns on a sunny day.

A good pair of track pants made of polyester will let your skin breathe. They’re lightweight, dry easily, and comfortable to walk around in. You can easily avoid chafing and rashes by investing in a good pair of track pants.

Trekking Shoes:

A good trekking shoe is comfortable, provides ankle support, and has a good grip as well. They shouldn’t be chunky, instead, they should be lightweight and sturdy.

Socks.png

Cotton Socks:

Cotton socks are extremely comfortable to move around in and are lightweight as well which is why you can always count on a good pair of cotton socks while trekking. However, keep in mind to change them and avoid wearing them when they are wet.

Woolen-Socks.png

Woolen Socks:

A good pair of woolen socks, especially merino, are comfortable, limit odors and provide adequate insulation from the cold so you can wear them at night.

Gloves.png

Woolen Gloves:

What our Clients Say About Us

I recently went to Winter Spiti Valley trip with JustWravel which ended up being more as a trip with best friends. JustWravel had everything sorted for us be it transportation, safety, constant checkups, personalised care , accommodation, food and everything was super comfortable and amazing. Then it comes to the best part of this trip our trip captains - Abhishek and Ramneek He treated us like their own brother from day one and made sure all of us are having the time of our lives. They had constant checkups to ensure all of us are doing great physically. They had good knowledge about the place and shared the same with us as well. I would surely plan my next trip with JustWravel. I would like to mention an instance: I forgot my bag in the Volvo bus and there was nothing important in that bag but our captains still went out of their way to ensure that I got my bag safely.

I recently did a trip to Leh Ladakh with JustWravel team, and boy, was it an experience for a lifetime! The trip leaders - Geetanjali, Ashish, Shashank - took such good care of the travellers. The team's thoughtfulness and local experience really shone through in the way the itinerary was planned. Plenty of photo opportunities, and daily briefings to prepare us for the unfamiliar climate and terrains of Ladakh. We had sufficient time for rest & recuperation and the accommodations provided were the best-possible, given the environmental conditions in that particular region. Really glad I did this trip solo and chose to go ahead with JustWravel's expertise. All we had to do was show up and the team ensured that we would have a great time - exploring the destinations and clicking away pictures of the beautiful mountains, valleys & lakes. Special shoutout to Geetanjali who really helped keep the spirits high and thanks to her, a group of strangers just felt like long-lost friends. Truly a memorable trip!

Went for 11D/10N Ladakh Trip with Just Wravel. Had amazing time with a great bunch of people, who were complete strangers at the beginning of the trip. Just Wravel has a well curated itinerary that covers all important sights but also leaves enough time for personal relaxation/exploration. Our Trip leaders: sashang and abhishek ashish were helpful and available throughout the duration of trip. Safety of Bikers was ensured, through the entire duration of trip. Food and Accomodation were great as well. Would strongly recommend Just wravel for anyone planning a trip to Ladakh.
