Overview

Mcleodganj, also famously known as the Little Lhasa is a hill station nestled in the Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an elevation of 2,082 meters and has gained massive popularity in recent years. It is a one-stop location for people who seek adventure, and spirituality, foodies, or simply the serial-chillers. With everything it has to offer, it is indeed nothing less than grabbing a lottery. Interestingly, it is referred to as Little Lhasa because of the presence of Tibetans in mass numbers. In addition, it is home to the Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama. This Mcleodganj Triund Bir tour from Delhi in each of its steps is a mesmerizing and amusing one.  Shortly after this, we embark on our overnight journey to McLeod Ganj, this would be an easy start to a refreshing and adventurous trip of a lifetime. We'll settle into our hotel accommodation when we arrive at McLeodGanj and then unwind after our overnight journey. After rejuvenating, we will then proceed for a local sightseeing trip, stopping at the beautiful Namgyal Monastery to pay a visit, the Bhagsunag Waterfall which is a sight to hold, and the neighborhood Tibetan Market for a shopping spree. We'll also go cafe-hopping to gorge ourselves on some Tibetan specialties. This is an eventful day in our Mcleodganj Triund Bir tour.

We'll go off on a hike to Triund Hill, renowned as the jewel of Dharamshala, after an early-morning nutritious breakfast. Triund Hill is situated at the base of the Dhauladhar ranges. The Triund Top, which is 9,432 feet above sea level, provides magnificent perspectives of the entire Kangra Valley. The path ascends to a swath of lush, bright grassland lined by pine trees. We will go back down after spending some time at the summit admiring the beautiful mountains' stunning magnificence. The remainder of the day is free time to rest or explore, however, your heart feels like. Then we head towards Bir, also referred to as the Paragliding Capital of India, which is located at an elevation of 5,003 feet.

We would pass via Dharamshala, the Dalai Lama's modest residence, on the way. We'll also visit the Dharamshala Stadium which is the highest fully functional international cricket ground in the world. We'll travel to Billing in the evening, from where paragliders launch and settle in Bir. Together, they offer the ideal setting for a paragliding experience. Following our paragliding lesson in Bir Billing, we'll head back to our prearranged lodgings. After dinner, spend the night in Bir for a rest day and charge our energies. Shortly after starting our day with a flavorful breakfast. We engage in local sightseeing in Bir. Paying a visit to the stunning Sherabling Monastery which has excellent architecture and is one of the oldest monasteries in Bir. Post this, we will get to witness the sparking water of Bir waterfall which would be a refreshing sight for us. Additionally, cafe hopping would be one of the activities we'd be indulging in as well. We would be exploring the cute cafes all around, and indulging in delicious different food.

We would be ending our day by boarding an overnight bus back to Delhi with a briefcase full of memories to cherish forever. The last day of our McLeodganj Triund Bir trip itinerary from Delhi. We would be arriving after our trip filled with adventure and peacefulness. The group will be dissembled and part ways, however, this trip would give you some of the best memories and hopefully great friends.

Things To Pack

Rucksack.png

Rucksack:

You must pick a good quality backpack with a comfortable fit and straps that won’t give you shoulder pain. You can check out your nearest Decathlon store for a good trekking backpack.

Day-Pack.png

Day Bag / Day Pack:

When you head towards the summit, you are required to carry only a few necessary items and for that, you need a day backpack as you will leave your bigger one on the campsite.

Hiking-Shoes.png

Hiking Shoes :

Durable footwear designed for rugged terrains.

Floaters.png

Floaters or Sandals:

Although the entire trek requires a good quality shoe, you still need to let your feet breathe to avoid chafing and blisters. When you are at the camp, a good pair of sandals and floaters will help you to move freely.

Tees.png

Tees / Tshirts:

You must keep at least three pairs of quick dry tees so that you can wash them in between stops for proper hygiene.

Poncho.png

Poncho:

A poncho is an evolved form of a raincoat that provides coverage to your body as well as your bag and ensures total water protection from rain.

Towel.png

Quick Dry Towel:

A quick dry towel will help in maintaining proper hygiene. It must dry quickly because the wet fabric will only increase the chance of bacterial growth.

Sanitizer.png

Sanitizer:

Essential for maintaining cleanliness while trekking.

Sun-Cap.png

Sun Cap / Hat:

A lightweight sun cap with side flaps is perfect to keep your head cool and avoid sunburns on a sunny day.

Sunscreen.png

Sunscreen SPF 40+:

To avoid sunburns and chafing, you need to put on sunscreen as well as cold cream.

Water.png

Water Bottle (Re-usable):

Hydration is extremely important when it comes to trekking. Carrying a water bottle that you can refill with Himalayan water is a must.

A bag with all your essentials including napkins, toothpaste, sanitizers, paper soap, etc should be carried in a ziplock bag.

First-Aid.png

A few cuts and bruises are almost inevitable when you are on a trek so carrying a medical kit with bandages, Dettol, etc is necessary.

Sunglasses.png

Sun Glasses / Reading Glasses:

Photochromatic glasses are specs that are designed to transform into anti-glare shades depending upon exposure to the sun. They are good when it comes to eye protection but one can also opt for clip-on glasses etc.

Track-Pants.png

A good pair of track pants made of polyester will let your skin breathe. They’re lightweight, dry easily, and comfortable to walk around in. You can easily avoid chafing and rashes by investing in a good pair of track pants.

Hiking-Shoes.png

Trekking Shoes:

A good trekking shoe is comfortable, provides ankle support, and has a good grip as well. They shouldn’t be chunky, instead, they should be lightweight and sturdy.

Socks.png

Cotton Socks:

Cotton socks are extremely comfortable to move around in and are lightweight as well which is why you can always count on a good pair of cotton socks while trekking. However, keep in mind to change them and avoid wearing them when they are wet.

Woolen-Socks.png

Woolen Socks:

A good pair of woolen socks, especially merino, are comfortable, limit odors and provide adequate insulation from the cold so you can wear them at night.

Gloves.png

Woolen Gloves:

Insulated gloves help in maintaining proper body heat in your hands and also provide a better grasp on trekking poles.

Jacket.png

Main Jacket:

It’s emphasized that you need to carry proper layers so you can avoid getting cold which is why you need to carry a heavy jacket that you can put on over your other clothes.

Woolen-Cap.png

Woolen Cap:

A woolen cap will help prevent cold when you ascend to high altitude. You can also cover your ears to avoid any pain and discomfort you might face in them when going at high altitudes.

Hoodie.png

Hoodie:

A versatile layering option for various temperatures.

Scarf.png

Scarf / Balaclava:

Along with sun rays and chilly winds, you also get hit by dirt and grime during treks which is why it's important to carry a scarf or balaclava so you can cover your face when needed.

Head-Lamp.png

Head Lamp:

You can’t rely on moonlight when you are in the mountains. A torch or even a headlamp with a fresh pair of batteries is always a good idea to bring along.

What our Clients Say About Us

I recently went to Winter Spiti Valley trip with JustWravel which ended up being more as a trip with best friends. JustWravel had everything sorted for us be it transportation, safety, constant checkups, personalised care , accommodation, food and everything was super comfortable and amazing. Then it comes to the best part of this trip our trip captains - Abhishek and Ramneek He treated us like their own brother from day one and made sure all of us are having the time of our lives. They had constant checkups to ensure all of us are doing great physically. They had good knowledge about the place and shared the same with us as well. I would surely plan my next trip with JustWravel. I would like to mention an instance: I forgot my bag in the Volvo bus and there was nothing important in that bag but our captains still went out of their way to ensure that I got my bag safely.

Just got back 😁, from a week-long 20-26th January, all-girls tour package of Manali-Kasol-Jibhi, headed by Geetanjali and Divya, as travel coordinators the trip was truly enjoyable and very memorable, especially for me as the youngest girl, at 56years I,in a group of 16 girls (20 year olds)....the team leader , geetanjali and second in command,Divya are very capable, sporty and encouraging type...they make an excellent combination and have good leadership quality..,will go ,great places in the near future....they are capable of tackling unforseen circumstances in a spirited manner,...also ,not to be forgotten , to complement ,the driving skills of Mr.Mani bhaiya, who navigated the difficult terrain and unpredictable weather conditions, very well.

Thank you JustWravel for giving me one of my best first group-trip experience - All-Girls Spiti Valley trip! I was a bit nervous before the trip began, but within no time, I realised that this was the best decision I took for myself. Saurav was a really friendly and easy-going trip leader and Mani Bhai was the sweetest local guide ever, who drove us around and also developed such a lovely bond with us. Both of them took great care of the group. Felt like family! ?? Lovely stay and food arrangements - never faced an issue even once. Most memorable trip! Thankyou!
