We know you are curious about the story that we have to share in this blog about “Bhrigu Lake”.
So the story goes something like this…
According to the legends, many years ago Bhrigu Rishi used to meditate here by the lake.
Not only Bhrigu Rishi, but this lake was also frequented by many local gods of the Kullu Valley who used to take a dip in the waters of the lake.
The lake never freezes completely even during the harshest of winters and many locals attribute it to the fact that the presence of gods thousands of years ago is the reason for it.
This lake holds a very sacred place for the locals even to this day. The local villagers go to the lake every year on Bhadon’s 20th day (August-September), which is an auspicious day for them.
