Haryana is set to establish the biggest wildlife park globally, spreading across a stunning 10,000 acres in the magnificent Aravalli mountain range, covering both Gurugram and Nuh districts. This ambitious endeavor is expected to provide a unique and exceptional experience, aiming to raise the bar for safari parks worldwide. The largest safari park outside of Africa, situated in Sharjah, spans approximately 2,000 acres and commenced operations in February 2022. The planned park will be five times larger, showcasing a diverse range of attractions. Guests can anticipate a vast herpetarium, an enchanting bird sanctuary, four specific areas for large felines, expansive environments for plant-eating animals, sections dedicated to unique bird species, a breathtaking aquatic realm, picturesque hiking paths in nature, lively tourist attractions, rich botanical gardens, and a variety of different ecosystems including equatorial, tropical, coastal, and desert regions.
The upcoming park project initiative involves Union Minister for Forest, Environment and Climate Change, Bhupender Yadav, and Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal, who, along with their delegation, visited the Sharjah Jungle Safari. The Chief Minister emphasized the possibility of the NCR region in Haryana becoming a flourishing jungle safari during the tour. He stressed the importance of introducing the Jungle Safari scheme not only as a way to boost tourism in the state but also as a way to generate employment for the local residents.
This program has the potential to kickstart economic development and foster environmental awareness in the area. The Jungle Safari project in Haryana will be a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change of the Government of India and the Haryana Government. According to him, the central government will also allocate funds to support this project as part of the scheme.

The Prime Minister revealed the initiation of a worldwide call for proposals for the much-anticipated safari park venture. Two distinguished companies known for their expertise in developing and running top-notch facilities have been selected. These companies will now participate in a global design challenge, competing to develop, oversee, and bring to fruition an outstanding safari adventure. For the project to be successful, the Aravalli Foundation will be created to supervise its management and activities. The Chief Minister pointed out that the Central Zoo Authority has completed a comprehensive assessment of the planned location and has verified its technical viability. This approval sets the stage for advancing with strong assurance in India’s ambition for an impressive safari park that is expected to be a top attraction. The minister stressed the importance of creating a jungle safari as it would help protect the valuable Aravalli mountain range while also drawing in a large number of tourists from Delhi and nearby areas. This increase in visitors has the possibility of creating many job opportunities for people in the local communities, leading to economic development in the region.
The Chief Minister pointed out that the neighboring villages would see significant advantages from the introduction of the Home Stay Policy, which would offer further assistance for the livelihoods of locals. This park is not only meant for wildlife, but also serves as an opportunity for people to immerse themselves in nature, make connections, and form lasting memories. Through its support of this project, Haryana is leading the charge towards a unique and engaging experience that will enchant individuals from diverse backgrounds.
