Port Blair Seaport in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands has been designated as an authorized ICP for foreign nationals with e-visas, which is expected to improve tourism and facilitate regional travel. The pristine beaches, crystal-clear lagoons, and rich underwater ecosystem make the Andaman and Nicobar Islands well-known. The Ministry of Home Affairs has recently approved Port Blair Seaport in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as an authorized Integrated Check Post (ICP) for foreign nationals with e-visas in order to promote tourism.

This important decision is expected to have a positive impact on the tourism industry in the area. This program aims to transform the way international tourists experience travel and enhance the appeal of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which are recognized for their stunning beaches and thrilling adventure activities.

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands, known for their pristine beaches, crystal-clear lagoons, and rich marine biodiversity, are a popular choice for those seeking adventure and nature enthusiasts. The implementation of the e-visa system at Port Blair Seaport is expected to attract a greater number of international visitors to this picturesque group of islands.

According to Vishwendra, the Tourism Secretary of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the most favorable period for yacht chartering in the region is from October to May. These months offer calm seas and pleasant tropical weather, creating the perfect conditions for maritime pursuits.    Port Blair has recently been included as a designated entry point for e-visas, making it possible for international tourists to access India through six notable seaports: Mumbai, Cochin, Mormugao, Chennai, New Mangalore, and Port Blair. This development simplifies the entry process for visitors from around the world and highlights the Andaman and Nicobar Islands as a premier spot for yacht enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
