Although, Goa is one of the smallest states of India, it makes up for the bulk of tourists which visit this destination.
Here are some of the beaches that you should visit for an amazing honeymoon escapade, and if you are looking for more, here is a guide to all the offbeat places to visit in Goa.
- Colva Beach
You might have heard of the saying “Old is Gold” and Colva Beach actually resonated with this saying. It is one of the largest and oldest beaches of South Goa and is not to be missed when you are in South Goa.
The area around this beach is well developed and you will find many shacks, restaurants, pubs, bars and guesthouses all in close proximity to the beach, making it one of the perfect places for your honeymoon in Goa.
This beach stretches for around 2.4 km, part of a beach consisting of about 25 kms of white sand. It is lined along its shore by coconut and palm trees, and extending as far as Bogmalo Beach to the north and Cabo de rama Beach to the South Goa’s coastline. It takes around an hour to reach Colva Beach from Panaji.
- Velsao Beach
This beach can be your own personal beach and we aren’t even joking. This beach is one of the best offbeat places in Goa to visit and the footfall is low, almost negligible. This beach has one of the best beach surfaces, i.e. it is lined with warm silver sand and you would also see fishermen along with their families going fishing in the waters.
The women and kids stay back and you can even indulge in a game of cricket or football on the beach with the kids.
This beach is located in Vasco De Gama, near Dabolim Airport. We would highly recommend visiting this beach at least once with your partner during your honeymoon in Goa.
- Agonda Beach
An untouched beach of Goa lying in the southern reaches of the state, Agonda Beach has a lot going for it.
It is one of the cleanest beaches of Goa and the rest of India and it is not commercialised like the beaches of North Goa and some beaches of South Goa, so you can spend some quality time alone, away from the hustle and bustle of the tourists and crowded places, making it a perfect place to visit while on your honeymoon in Goa.
It is one of those places of Goa where you can sunbathe and have a romantic escapade with your loved ones as there are few tourists here. You can also see many olive ridley turtles as this beach is their preferred nesting ground.
