By Air: Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is the closest airport to Govindghat. You can take a bus or hire a taxi to Govindghat from the airport. Dehradun to Govindghat is 286 miles apart, and the travel takes about 10 to 12 hours.

By Rail: The nearest train station to Govindghat is Rishikesh, which has excellent connections to other important Indian towns. It will take you approximately ten to eleven hours to get reach Govindghat by bus or taxi once you arrive in Rishikesh.

By Road:  Major cities like Delhi or Dehradun may be reached by car to Govindghat. From Delhi, the trip takes ten to twelve hours. You can also take public transportation from Delhi to Rishikesh from ISBT or Delhi Gate. From there, take another bus to Joshimath and finally to Govindghat.
